Cowboy Holsters

No more fobus for me. This is the second time I’ve had problems with their design. I was using the recalled roto holster with the hard plastic strap on my Glock cowboy holsters with M3 light on a warrant service. Had the guy on the ground and started to Blackhawk Holster. At the last minute I noticed that hard plastic thumb break had slipped into the trigger guard. I almost shot a hole in my leg. Got the replacement holster and it has worked fine.
Today I picked up a new fobus revolution Handgun Holsters for my Kimber. I get it home and try it out. The Kimber slid in with a loud click and it was in there for good. I couldn’t get it back out. The instructions say you have pull it straight up with force. Well that’s no good for anyone in a dangerous situation where a quiet and slow draw may be necessary. The Fobus guys just don’t think things through. Oh and I couldn’t get the Kimber out till I loosened the tension screw so much till the gun Holsters just slid out without any resistance. Back to the gun shop it goes.
Ah, whatever. I’m just annoyed that I had to spend ammo money on another holster. I’ll get over it…
rtunately had problems with ripping the rivets out of the plastic. Also have one of the recalled Handgun Holster and contacted Fobus holster about a replacement, but never received a replacement holster.

Sig sauer magazines
I’m not real happy right now. I literally just walked in the door from the range. Out of 102 rounds I fired with my new Sig sauer magazines I had 96 failures to extract.
I was shooting S&B and my carry load. Both had FTEx. The pistol was also dropping the brass from the last round in a magazine and leaving the brass resting on top of the empty mag.
Pistol was cleaned and lubed before heading out. I soaked the extractor in CLP at the range and cleaned it there. That didn’t make any difference in the frequency of FTEx.
This is a real disappointment for me. I really, really like the way the P250 feels and points. The trigger was fine and for the 6 times the pistol actually functioned as a auto-loader follow-up shots seemed to be fast. I was hoping that this was going to be my new carry pistol, but that isn’t going to happen until it’s fixed.
Obviously, I’ll be calling Sig sauer magazine tomorrow and sending it back to them for repair/replacement.
